There’s always been something about watching a band walk out on stage to see their audience that really gets me intrigued. I think part of it is my excitement for being there, about to hear them do their thing. Another part of it is me trying to imagine what that must feel like.

…and piss me off. Grrrrr. My already light September show list just took a big hit. Meg, don’t you know how to score Xanex?

From their myspace bulletin posting:

The White Stripes announced today that they are canceling their forthcoming tour due to health issues. Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time.

The White Stripes sincerely apologize to their fans. “We hate to let people down and are very sorry.”

Fans can obtain refunds for their tickets at point of purchase.
