So one of my most read entries is Top 5 Stripper songs. Apparently there are a lot of people out there looking for stripper worthy tunes, and the Hard Rock Chick is happy to provide them. So, in order to fuel the desire, here are 5 more stripperific songs. Thanks to everyone who for some reason felt compelled to make vids of themselves dancing to these songs. It’s damn good entertainment. Fuck the Pain Away/Peaches Filed under: Myspace Find and Top 5 Comments: None |

OK Go: Here It Goes Again. All well choreographed and well practiced dance moves make this seem higher budget than it is. Mickey Avalon: Waiting to Die. Shot with a cell phone. Beck: Elevator Music. Beck released 2006’s The Information, with a video for every song; most of them low budget. Snoop Dogg: Sensual Seduction. Worn out VHS tape style. A Place to Bury Strangers: I Know I’ll See You. Shot using a webcam from the director’s home in LA and the band was in their RV. Filed under: Top 5 Comments: 2 Comments |

1. Spike Jonze Fatboy Slim/Praise You. To put himself in the starring role took something all by itself. And it was very timely, hitting in 1999, right before reality television took off. Beastie Boys/Sabotage. He took the already cool Beastie Boys and made them cooler. Fatboy Slim/Weapon of Choice. Two words: Christopher Walken. Two more words: Can Dance. The world is pretty fucked up right now. Today felt like the tipping point where all hell began to break loose. Yesterday was Blue Monday…perhaps today is Black Tuesday. We’re in year 5 of a war, oil costs $100 a barrel, the stock market is taking a nose dive, health care sucks, mortgages suck, entertainers are dying from pills instead of heroin, our president is retarded….let’s commiserate. Black Flag- Depression Tears For Fears- Mad World Nirvana- Downer NIN- Survivalism Radiohead- Lucky Filed under: Top 5 Comments: 2 Comments |

1. Your ticket. There’s no worse feeling than getting to a show and realizing you left your ticket at home. Likewise, if your ticket is at Will Call, don’t forget to print your email receipt, bring your credit card, and… 2. Your ID. If you’re 21, of course. And if the venue is 21 and up. 3. Ear plugs! If you go to shows frequently, you should invest in some earplugs, or at least go get some from coat check, security, or at the bigger shows they are free at the rock medicine booths. I’m awaiting a nice pair of custom earplugs soon, so I can enjoy the vocals again. 4. Sturdy shoes. Metal and rock shows= steel toes. Hip hop= sneaks. There are only a few shows where it is acceptable to wear nice shoes, and usually they involve having a seat. If you wear stilettos to a GA show, please don’t step on people’s feet- I have some permanent damage. 5. Money. Drinks-Posters-CDs-Tees…support your venue and the band. And don’t forget to tip your bartender. Filed under: Top 5 Comments: None |
